Over Columbus Day weekend every October, Downtown Bath comes alive with the sights, sounds and smells of autumn during the annual AutumnFest and Citizen Involvement Day. The entire family will find a wide range of seasonal, fun things to do while taking in the crisp fall air in the City of Ships.
The Great Scarecrow Event – Scarecrow-making on the Customs House lawn, window painting, apple-bobbing, and face-painting.
Made in Maine Craftshow - Featuring local artisans on Front Street.
Halcyon Yarn Open House. Special sales, discounts and demonstrations at 12 School Street.
Bath Farmer’s Market – 8:30am – 12noon. Fresh Maine grown food, flower, plants and more at Waterfront Park.
Annual “ Citizen’s Involvement Day” – More than 30 Bath area non-profit organizations all in one place, this year at City Park.
Pie Baking Contest & Sale – Bake a pie and enter the contest, or just donate one to be sold by the slice. Grand Prize awarded for best pie, as well as an honorable mention for the runner up. All proceeds from slice sales will be donated to the Bath Heating Assistance fund.
Cider Pressing – Head over to Now You’re Cooking between 10am to 1pm and see demonstrations on turning those beautiful apples into fresh pressed cider.
New England Antiques Sale - Head downtown to check out the sale at New England Antiques, and get 10-50% off selected items.
Throughout the downtown there will be live music, artisan and food demonstrations, “shop locally” rewards and autumnal feasts. With so much to see and do, a good time is had by all!
