Before dawn breaks over Bath, the downtown will be invaded by hundreds of bargain hunters decked out in their pajamas. The start of the 2012 hunting season on Saturday, November 3rd is also the kick off for another kind of hunt, the search for good deals. Most downtown stores open at 5:30-6 a.m. with prices dramatically reduced. The earlier the bird you are, the better the bargain, as prices increase throughout the morning. There is more to this tradition than just getting a jump-start on your holiday shopping. Non-Profits hold fundraising breakfasts, stores get into the spirit with contests and prizes and local political candidates line the street corners handing out warm coffee and donuts. Join your neighbors in grogginess and great shopping, and be sure to get good nights sleep. This is a unique downtown Bath event not to be missed!
