Our vendors offer seasonal produce, fresh meat, poultry and fish.  Glorious cheeses and creamy yogurt, sweet and savory baked goods, bread and fresh soups and ready to heat meals.  Wool blankets, beeswax candles, herbal medicinals and all kinds of special treasures are available. Maine’s connection to the famous Underground Railroad that helped free runaway slaves in the mid-1800s does not begin and end with Harriet Beecher Stowe. Indeed, from Kittery to Fort Fairfield, Mainers conspired together to break the law — the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 — forming a network of “safe houses,” hiding slaves from slave hunters and scurrying them to Canada. An evening lantern lit tour will explore Bath, discovering ghosts and history, spirits and mystery. Buildings that once seemed ordinary will take on eerie new dimensions as The Lady in the Red Cloak relives their history and that of the ghostly entities that are said to still reside there. Behind the Scenes Tour of the Schooner Bowdoin and Ernestina-Morrissey

Built in 1894 the Ernestina-Morrissey is a National Historic Landmark Vessel and the Official Vessel of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Built in 1921, the schooner Bowdoin is the official vessel of the state of Maine and the flagship of Maine Maritime Academy.  Both vessels are currently undergoing restoration work at Boothbay Harbor Shipyard; join us to tour the vessels and the yard. Participants will meet at the Boothbay Harbor Shipyard.
