Maine’s First Ship invites you to explore 17th Century Foodways, Saturday April 22, at the Bath Freight Shed, 27 Commercial Street.

9am-noon Free Demonstrations
Open Hearth Cooking with guest Chef Sam Collins
17th century fish splitting with guest Historic Researcher & Author Mike Dekker
Hands-on butter churning
17th century Sailors’ Provision: display of cooking supplies & daily provisions for crew

12:30-2pm Luncheon limited tickets available mfship.org/17th-century-luncheon/
Salt Cod Chowder or Beef Stew with fresh greens, fresh bread with freshly churned butter, and Plum Duff
Lunch guests may also purchase Sasanoa Brewing Maiden Voyage Beer and The Fat Friar’s Mead to accompany their meal.

Maine’s First Ship strives to use our reconstruction of the 1607 pinnace Virginia to immerse the public in an exploration of the region’s early history, craftsmanship, and relationships, and their impact on our community and environment today.
