Join MFS volunteer Fred Gosbee for a look at woodworking techniques from the 1600s (when the original Virginia was built!) using a pole lathe and shaving horse.  Stop by 10am-2pm to see Fred while he works on “wooden bits for the rigging” throughout the day.

Wednesday is a 9am-3pm workday for our volunteer shipbuilders; come by the Jane Stevens Visitor Center to learn about their work reconstructing the 1607 pinnace Virginia built at the Popham Colony.
