Annual Children’s Lantern Parade! Wednesday, December 19 , 4:00pm-5:00pm, all ages. Waltz into winter with this wonderfully sweet parade. Gather at the Patten Free Library in the Storytime Room for a wintry story, lantern-making craft & refreshments.

Note to Grownups: Please bring a clear, clean plastic quart-size jug to use for the craft and cut off the top (about 2”). Gather in the Storytime Room where children will decorate their lanterns with colored tissue paper, a stained glass window effect. Then, grownups will insert a flameless votive candle into the lantern and place the lantern on a wooden dowel for holding. Once outside, we’ll begin our walk to the Library Park Gazebo holding the pretty lanterns in the full moonlit night! Dress warmly. Children need to be supervised throughout the entire event.  No registration required.
