Bath Historical Society 2017 Talk and Tour
Saturday March 25 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pmFree
On Saturday March 25, Bath Historical Society offers its 2017 Talk and Tour: “Rising from the Debris: Restoring Winter Street Sanctuary” presented by Timothy Brosnihan of Sagadahoc Preservation, Inc. This is an opportunity for the public to see and hear about the restoration of the Winter Street Sanctuary, part of the Winter Street Center owned by Sagadahoc Preservation, Inc. The collapse of the sanctuary ceiling in August 2015 required dramatic action and efforts were launched to raise money for repairs. Now, it is possible to peer into the innards of the roof structure. Indeed, the walls and ceiling are “talking” and revealing new secrets about the history of the Winter Street Congregational Church. Location: Winter Street Center, 880 Washington Street, Bath. The program begins at 10:30. Doors open at 10:00. This event is free and open to the public. FMI: 443-5141 ext. 18
