Friends of Patten Free Library Book Sale
July 23, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
FreeThe Friends of Patten Free Library (FOPFL) will be hosting a Book Sale July 23-25, 2021 at the Winter Street Church Center at 880 Washington Street in Bath. Proceeds benefit Patten Free Library.
This book sale re-creates the Heritage Days Book Sale experience, which serves as the primary fundraiser for FOPFL. “The Friends of Patten Free Library have been able to provide significant financial support to the Library – a total of $450,000.00 over the last 17 years – primarily from sales at the library bookstore and proceeds from the Heritage Days Book Sale,” according to Jim Atherton, FOPFL President.
All book genres available – fiction, mystery, history and politics, arts and entertainment, cookbooks, children’s, etc. Limited YA and sci-fi available.
Volunteers needed throughout the sale. Teens and strong adults sought to help transport books beginning July 21. Questions about volunteer opportunities can be addressed to friendsofpfl@gmail.com.
FOPFL has over 1000 boxes of books in storage ready to sell! Gently used book donations are still being accepted; regretfully, books that smell of mold or mildew cannot be accepted. Up to two boxes of books may be donated per visit to the library bookstore on the corner of Front and Summer Streets in Bath.
The FOPFL Book Sale will run from 9:30AM – 4:30PM on July 23 and July 24; and 9:30 AM to 2:00PM on July 25. Tables of books will be set up on the lawn in front of the Center as well as in the Hall. Book tables will be refreshed daily.
