Model Boat Building with Phil Helgerson, Boat builder and hobbyist, MFS Volunteer

This workshops introduces children to building model boats. There are two skill levels:

Part 1 – Paper model

Part 1 is for  younger children age 5 and above and an accompanying adult. Students will build three different model boats from card-stock paper – one boat during each session. Enrollment is limited to eight families.

2 days/2 models remain: June 15 and 22, 4pm – 6pm, at the Bath Freight Shed

Part 2 — Wood model

Part 2 is for age 8 and above. Students will build a wooden boat model (Yankee Tender from Woodenboat Store). These sessions will involve edge tools. Enrollment is limited to eight families.

Part 2:   June 29, July 6,  13, 20, and 27    1pm – 3pm
