Join Sagadahoc Preservation, Inc. at 1pm on Sunday, May 7th for our spring fundraiser – Tea with Sarah Sampson. Sampson, a nurse in the Civil War, left Bath in 1861 to serve alongside her husband, then Capt. Charles Sampson of the 3rd Maine. She aided Maine’s soldiers at Gettysburg and throughout the war; afterward, she was instrumental in the founding and leadership of the Orphan’s Home in Bath. This theatrical event will bring Sarah Sampson and her story to life. Refreshments will be served as well in the beautiful Parish Hall at the Winter Street Center.
