With the Children’s Tree Lighting and Jingle Bell Walk
Saturday, November 30th, 2019

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at the Gazebo at Library Park to light the Children’s Christmas Tree at 2:00pm and then lead the Jingle Bell Walk up to City Hall where Children are invited to sit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will be cookies, caroling, refreshments and a chance to make a note or picture for Santa. Jingle bells provided or bring your own!

Community Tree Decorating

Saturday, November 30th, 2019 11am-2pm

Patten Free Library Community Room.

Join Santa’s elves to make ornaments to hang on the community tree in the Gazebo before Santa arrives for the Jingle Bell Walk. Ornaments made at home are welcome too!

There will also be story time in the Children’s Room.

Thank you to Jorgensen Landscaping who has generously decorated the gazebo for more than 20 years!

Trolley Caroling

Fridays and Saturdays 4-8pm
NOV 30th through DEC 21st

Make Trolley Caroling part of your weekends in Bath! Grab a blanket and hop on the trolley with family and friends to see the Christmas lights throughout the City of Ships. Free tickets are available at the Trolley stop near City Hall starting at 3:30pm. Reserve your trolley spot on arrival so that you have time to shop and dine in Downtown Bath! 4:00-8:00

Magic Letter Boxes

Send your letters to Santa directly to the North Pole! Two house-shaped, red letter boxes will be located in the Downtown. Letters to Santa magically go directly to the North Pole. For a reply letter from Santa, make sure to include your return address on the front of your envelope. Cards and letters for senior citizens will also magically be distributed to Bath area seniors. Make someone else’s holiday season a little brighter with a hand drawn picture! Letter boxes will be available through December 15th.

Bright Night Bath
Fire and Ice

Friday, December 13th, 2019

Bright Night Bath will feature Fire and Ice with a fire sculpture where you can roast marshmallows and a Life Size Snow Globe to take family photos in! The streets will be lined with luminaria, the trees and light poles wrapped with twinkling Christmas lights, carolers strolling, the trolley rolling  as Downtown Bath shops and restaurants stay open late to welcome shoppers with festive holiday music, refreshments, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Come down for this festive evening, admire the window displays and explore our Non-Profit Pop Up Shop at Bath’s City Hall Auditorium. WGME will be Downtown with a live feed so be sure to wear your Santa hat and wave, Hello!

Season of Giving
Stuff Santa’s Bag with Food

Let’s be sure everyone in the Bath area has a good Christmas with full bellies.
In the spirit of the holidays, children and adults are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item, particularly those suited for a holiday meal. The donated food will be distributed at the Bath Food Bank in time for the holidays. Santa’s bags can be found in the lobbies of Bath City Hall, Bath Savings Institution, Bath Natural Market, Brackett’s, First Federal Savings and Loan and Island Treasure Toys.

16th Annual

Paul Revere Bell Ringing!

Tuesday, December 31, 11:45am

Hallet’s Clock, at the corner of Front and Centre Streets

Celebrate the New Year and Bath’s historic bell cast by Paul Revere, 12 hours too soon! Please join us as we sing out the old and ring in the New Year with the historic bell at Bath City Hall rung by the Citizen of the Year. We will gather a few minutes before Noon at the corner of Front and Centre Streets for singing and a short ceremony, followed by the bell ringing and refreshments in City Hall Auditorium. Bring your party hats and noisemakers!

Alive After Five

Many of Bath’s Downtown shops will be Alive After Five on the weekends in December so that you have more time to do your holiday shopping locally. And of course you can then choose to which of our many great restaurants to dine in and even go for a ride on the trolley!
