With the Children’s Tree Lighting and Jingle Bell Walk

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at the Gazebo to light the Children’s Christmas Tree at 2:00pm and then lead the Jingle Bell Walk up to City Hall where Children are invited to sit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will be cookies, caroling, refreshments and a chance to make a note or picture for Santa. Jingle bells provided or bring your own!
Community Tree Decorating

Patten Free Library Community Room.
Join Santa’s elves to make ornaments to hang on the community tree in the Gazebo before Santa arrives for the Jingle Bell Walk. Ornaments made at home are welcome too!
There will also be story time in the Children’s Room.

Make Trolley Caroling part of your weekends in Bath! Grab a blanket and hop on the trolley with family and friends to see the Christmas lights throughout the City of Ships. Free tickets are available at the Trolley stop near City Hall. Reserve your trolley spot on arrival so that you have time to shop and dine in Downtown Bath! 4:00-8:00

Magic Letter Boxes
Send your letters to Santa directly to the North Pole! Two house-shaped, red letter boxes will be located in the Downtown. Letters to Santa magically go directly to the North Pole. For a reply letter from Santa, make sure to include your return address on the front of your envelope. Cards and letters for senior citizens will also magically be distributed to Bath area seniors. Make someone else’s holiday season a little brighter with a hand drawn picture!

Fire and Ice

Bright Night Bath will feature Fire and Ice with a fire sculpture where you can roast marshmallows and an ice sculpture where you can feature yourself with the final product. The streets will be lined with luminaria, the trees and light poles wrapped with twinkling Christmas lights, carolers strolling, the trolley rolling as Downtown Bath shops and restaurants stay open late to welcome shoppers with festive holiday music, refreshments, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Come down for this festive evening, admire the window displays and be sure to vote for your favorite in downtown’s Christmas window decorating contest! And WGME will be Downtown with a live feed. Be sure to wear your Santa hat!
Paul Revere Bell Ringing!

Celebrate the New Year and Bath’s historic bell cast by Paul Revere, 12 hours too soon! Please join us as we sing out the old and ring in the New Year with the historic bell at Bath City Hall rung by the Citizen of the Year. We will gather a few minutes before Noon at the corner of Front and Centre Streets for singing and a short ceremony, followed by the bell ringing and refreshments in City Hall Auditorium. Bring your party hats and noisemakers!
Alive After Five
Many of Bath’s Downtown shops will be Alive After Five on the weekends in December so that you have more time to do your holiday shopping locally. And of course you can then choose to which of our many great restaurants to dine in and even go for a ride on the trolley!
