During Columbus Day weekend every October, Downtown Bath comes alive with the sights, sounds and smells of autumn during AutumnFest.

The entire family will find a wide range of seasonal, fun things to do while taking in the crisp fall air in the City of Ships.

Citizen Involvement Day – More than 40 Bath area non-profit organizations all in one place at Waterfront Park.

The Great Scarecrow Event – Scarecrow-making on the Customs House lawn.

In-theZone-Oct.Crocuses-300x200Bath Sunrise Rotary will be selling high-quality flower bulbs from 9-12. Proceeds benefit numerous local and international programs, including the Bath Food Bank, United Way, and The Patten Free Library.

CHANS Home Health Care provides free Flu Vaccinations. Take advantage of this opportunity to stay well this flu season and protect those around you with a flu vaccination. Ages 6 months and up. Insurance accepted, and donations welcome.

Halcyon Yarn’s Annual Open House: 10am – 4pm (12 School Street.) – Halcyon Yarn’s Annual Open House is a day of celebrating fiber craft with demonstrations throughout the day. There will be a samples sale, discounts, and special sales throughout the store.  It’s a great time to stock up for cool weather and holiday projects and see the latest ideas and new yarns.

Bath Farmer’s Market: 8:30am – 12noon (Waterfront Park) – 

Red Cloak Haunted History Tour7:00 pm – An Autumn evening lantern lit tour will explore Bath, discovering ghosts and history, spirits and mystery. Told by The Lady in the Red Cloak, legends intertwined with history will come alive as buildings that once seemed ordinary are seen at twilight. You’ll hear tales of the ghostly entities that are said to still reside in some of these buildings. The walks are fairly easy and appropriate for all ages; by reservation only. $15 for adults, $7 children under 12, free children under 5.
