Our kickoff to Maine’s Beautiful Warmer Weather! Sales, Scavenger Hunts, Music Performances and Family Activities at various locations downtown.
We are so excited to see you at Spring Into Summer on May 21st!
Multiple locations downtown will host family friendly activities, a scavenger hunt, a goat petting station, sunflower seed station, tent sales, music in the pocket park, parklet lawn games along the sidewalks. We will share Store Sales on this page as soon as they are all collected.
At the Customs House, 1 Front Street, Bath:
Explore all the goodies at the Now You’re Cooking Tent Sale! This is an annual extravaganza where you can really stash a great deal and get your kitchen ready for a summer of incredible meals.
Family Sunflower Seed Planting Activity; Join our Main Street Bath volunteers as we offer a make-and-take sunflower seed pot. You’ll be able to bring your soon-to-bloom home with you and put it in a more permanent location. Free for all!
Goats! Goats to feed and Goats to pet! J & J Farm Galivanting Goats will bring goats along for everyone to enjoy. Have you ever seen the view of the cranes at Bath Iron Works, the Kennebec River… and GOATS? It will be a memorable experience for all.
Pocket Park: Next to Lisa Marie’s Made in Maine.
Music will be flowing from local performers and potentially some really talented students! Make sure to support our local singers and musicians by listening in!
Sidewalk Games for Families and Friends!
Take a look around, you’ll find “parklets” with games for you to try out. A parklet is a parking space along a sidewalk that has been barricaded from being used by a car. Instead it becomes a Mini Park! There will be four, and you can find Giant Jenga, Horse Shoes, Cornhole and Ladderball! All great ways to amuse yourselves while a person in your party enjoys a specialty boutique.
Historic Walking Tour!
Take a 30 minute walking tour of Bath’s downtown – what businesses were here in the 19th century? Who might you have run into on Front St.? What’s changed and what’s the same? Join Meg Barker for a 30 minute tour. Tours leave at 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm from City Hall. Stop by the Main Street Bath information desk at City Hall early to pick up your free ticket as space is limited.
Fisher Mitchell School Fundraiser
The 5th Grade History Club of Fisher Mitchell is raising money to add a marker to Lillian Fisher’s grave at Oak Grove Cemetery. Stop by the City Hall parking lot to find out why and grab a baked good or Bath art greeting card and make a donation!
We love to send people poking around different locations in downtown, Bath. The best way to do it is by scavenger hunt discovery! Look for the Main Street Bath table at City Hall where you can grab your list and be on your way! Cool prizes TBD!
