Bowdoin College Professor Mort Hansen will lecture on Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison's "A Mercy." The novel tells the story of freed slave Florens in 1600s America, where the institutions of slavery and capitalism were already present and radically affecting the development of the country.
