Drilled Pumpkins: Get the LED Out!

This is a free make-and-take event for teens in grades seven to twelve.   Each participant will receive a free pumpkin (courtesy of Goranson Farm) and a string of LED lights. Then we'll get out drills and out carving tools and get to work.  You'll leave with a beautiful piece of pumpkin art just in time for Halloween. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.  Call 443-5141, ext. 12 to reserve your place and your pumpkin!  Wear your messy clothes!

Brenda Cummings and Tim Richter, who have participated in or led the annual Peterson Canal walk since at least 2005, will lead our virtual tour of the canal. As the Assessor for the City of Bath, Brenda considers the Canal walk part of her duty to review Bath’s boundaries. Tim Richter is a local history buff who has been collecting information on the Canal for many years. The annual meeting of the Bath Historical Society will precede the Canal talk.

Teen Summer Nights Movie Series Finale! “Avengers: Infinity War”

Last teen movie of the season at Patten Free Library is Wednesday, August 15!  Open to all in grades six through twelve.  Doors open at 5:30; movie starts at 6.  Free admission, snacks, and air conditioning. Avengers: Infinity War is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 156 minutes, so pick-up time will be just after 8:30.

‘Invisible Xylophone’ Workshop with Gizmo Gardens at Patten Free Library

In this free workshop at Patten Free Library, you will create an invisible xylophone that beeps a tune as you wave a wand!  In the process, you will learn to arrange graphical computer code that allow sensors on the wand to control a speaker.
