Santa Visits Bath Maine Christmas

Hello Old Friends and New!

I hope you all had a chance to be Downtown last weekend. Santa Mrs. Claus arrived and so did the families! What a great time. BRAVO to the volunteers who make all of this magic happen! It was also Small Business Saturday and I'm hearing reports that many of you will be on the NICE LIST this year because you are choosing to spend your money where your community is. Thank you for shopping locally. It really does matter.

Another weekend and SO much to do! Trolley Caroling starts up this Friday and will run every Friday and Saturday through Christmas. There are craft shows every where you turn, open houses, magic shows for families and twisted Christmas shows for the grown ups (not at the same time ;) Be sure to check out the community calendar below for a whole list of things going on.

And an ongoing reminder about these other on-going December activities:
  • The window decorating contest has begun will continue into December. Vote for your favorite window. Ballots are in many of the businesses. Votes will be tallied and the winner will be announced at Sing! It's Christmas on December 18th at the Chocolate Church. Names will also be drawn from the ballots for gift baskets. Check out our Facebook page for details on what you will find in the baskets and the awesome businesses who gave to it.
  • Stuff Santa's Bag with Christmas Dinner. Santa’s bags can be found in the lobbies of Bath City Hall, Bath Savings Institution, Brackett’s Market, Bath Natural Market, Reny’s, Bath Police Department, Five County Credit Union, and Patten Free Library beginning on November 25th. In the spirit of the holidays, children and adults are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to stuff Santa’s bag for families in need. The donated food will be distributed to the Bath Food Bank in time for the holidays.
Items of greatest need include: Boxed Stuffing, Canned Sweet Potatoes, Instant potatoes, Turkey Gravy, Canned veggies, Canned pasta (i.e. – spagetios, ravioli, beefaroni etc), Boxed Mac and Cheese, Spaghetti Sauce, Peanut butter, Canned meats (i.e. – chicken, tuna)
  • The adorable red boxes are on Front Street for children to write letters to Santa and have them delivered straight to the North Pole. There are 2 boxes, one by Hallets Clock and one by Island Treasure Toys. Bring your little ones down to mail their letters!
  • And certainly last, but not least. Main Street Bath needs you! We are in the midst of our annual appeal and kindly request donations to help make our organization run. Please give what can, every single dollar helps to keep our Downtown and all small businesses going. There is a button right below this email. Please take a moment to give what you can.

Only 25 Days until Christmas!!! Get Shopping. Locally!
