Everyone is invited to come make their own, original lanterns for the Bath Lantern Parade. Experienced artists and puppet makers will be on hand with all the supplies you need to design and create your own lantern. Whether you want to start from scratch or get help taking your design to the next level, this artist-led maker-space is for you. This is a great family activity---all ages and levels of experience are welcome. This event is free AND donations are greatly appreciated.
Sagadahoc Preservation Inc. Board member Meg Barker, owner of Embark Maine Tours, has designed an historic photo scavenger hunt so that the posted photos will be partially obscured, then participants can scan a QR code to see the full (and FUN) image. Participants can enter to win a Bath history gift bag! The Hunt will go on for both Saturday and Sunday. Thanks for collaboration & contributions from the Patten Free Library, Maine Maritime Museum and Bath History Club!

Learn a little about Sagadahoc Preservation Inc. work in caring and advocating for our historic city of Bath and the entire county of Sagadahoc! Children's activities cookies and cocoa will be here as well. Yum!
During Winterfest, submit Bee Bath cards to the downtown beehives by 5 pm for two bonus chances to win $50 in Gift of Bath Certificates. Near the pocket park between Main Street Design and Lisa Marie's Made in Maine on Front Street, the Bath Garden Club will be working on some hand outs and information to remind us that Spring is Around the Corner!
Warm up with hot cocoa, coffee, and baked goods while you wander through the first floor of displays showcasing how the City Planning Department is smashing our city goals in 2024. Then snag your ticket good for one free ride on the trolley.
Trolley service kicks off bright and early at 10 AM, then it's every half-hour after that with a lunch break from noon to 12:30 pm. Weather permitting!
At the corner of Front and Elm Street you can play chess with someone who may challenge your understanding of the game and meet some fun and friendly people!

Head up the stairs to explore downtown Bath's huge new dance studio! Enjoy two performances at 11:30am and again at 12:00pm where you can see the talent coming out of this program! Gorgeous space not to be missed!
Bridge Park will host the Portland Reavers and their Armored Combat! This is adjacent to Maine's First Ship on Commercial Street. Come hear the clashing of the swords and the brave cry of the warriors as they go head to head with the backdrop of the mighty Kennebec River behind them. This will make for some stunning photos!
Bring your lantern, headlight, flashlight, camp lantern or other source of light. Meet at the Five County Federal Credit Union Parking Lot on Centre Street. We will follow a route going up to City Hall, down Front Street to Elm, and then straight up to Washington! Our Parade ends at the Chocolate Church Arts Center for a Free Show which will include the Casco Bay Tummlers Klezmer band, hot cider, popcorn, stilt walkers and an indoor parade across the main stage!

The CCAC is so excited to be the host of this year's finale and welcome everyone in from the cold, wintry walk. The Lantern Finale will be free to all, offering complimentary hot cider and popcorn, live music by the virtuoso Klezmer band–the Casco Bay Tummlers, stilt-walkers, and more.

Main Street Bath and the Chocolate Church Arts Center combine forces to Cohost our Winterfest Lantern Parade this year.
Start off by making your lantern amazing, fun or gorgeous! Glitter, pipe cleaners, sparkles, string, whatever you have.. just make sure you have fun! We will have lanterns to hand out to those who don't have any.
We will meet at the Five County Credit Union Parking Lot on Centre Sreet at 5:30pm to start the parade.
Once the Yeti arrives, we can all parade up to the City Hall. Then we walk proudly down Front Street, hitching a left on Elm Street. We will hike up to Washington Street and down to the Chocolate Church Arts Center for the Finale!
