Main Street Bath’s National “Four Point Approach” includes direct business support to businesseses within the historic footprint. However, through the wider scope of Main Street Bath’s oversight, staffing and management of both the Bath Regional Information Center and visitbath.com, we are able to assist additional businesses throughout Arrowsic, Georgetown, Woolwich, Phippsburg, Popham and the wider city of Bath including West Bath.
Unlike Chambers or other business support clubs, Main Street Bath is not a paid membership organization. No need to pay to belong! You can plug in to resources, marketing opportunities and partnerships where they fit your business needs.
Currently, any business may join our online directory of visitbath.com for FREE! It should include a description of your company, a photo, business hours and location and a direct link to your web presence.
If you’d like to speak to us about advertising in the Information Center (B.R.I.C), we have different size display ad space at various rates with flexible pay methods and our most affordable option is a rack card space for $125 / year. This building hosts over 25,000 visitors coming through these doors, and depending on the type of industry, this may be a great spot to say hello!
In 2022, Main Street America rolled out an Entrepreneur Ecosystem program, which we joined eagerly. We know that this area is rich with opportunity, strong with history of businesses rooted in all manner of industry and through programs like Main Street, we have a deeply connected business community. It’s a wonderful place for entrepreneurs to feather their nest.

BATH, Maine—Sept 18, 2023—New Ventures Maine (NVME) in partnership with Main Street Bath and GoDaddy Inc. (NYSE: GDDY) has opened registration for the Grow Your Business Online Main Street Bath cohort for Fall 2023. The in-person program is open to those operating businesses in Bath and will offer attendees educational classes, networking, mentoring, and GoDaddy products to help their businesses grow.
The business development program is seeking established business owners looking to increase revenue, improve online presence, and grow. Unlike tech-focused business accelerators, the goal of this program is to serve small-business entrepreneurs who comprise much of Maine’s economy.
Melaina Maloney, owner of Top of Turtle Island Gifts, said, “I’ve taken every available business course that NVME offers and built my e-commerce site through Grow Your Business Online. I am currently running my business and designing and making art full-time, selling at craft fairs and at my local farmers market. I’m amazed at how much I have been able to accomplish,” she said.

Grow Your Business Online will run for 5 weeks starting October 5. A networking celebration on November 2 will conclude the class. This in-person program, held at the Patten Free Library in Bath, will provide the tools and knowledge for business owners to create a compelling website or update an existing site for their small business. Topics covered will include creating a standout virtual brand, website and e-commerce presence, and mentoring support for entrepreneurs. The concluding networking celebration will feature two cash prizes from Main Street Bath, a showcase of business websites, and light refreshments. Classes will start on Thursday, October 5 and run weekly from 3:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. until October 26. This program requires an internet-accessible device.
